One of the many benefits of Stampin' UP!'s wonderful stamp sets is they may be cut and mounted in any manner. The ladies at my class this weekend learned how to mount their "Happy Heart Day" stamp set for the most versatility. By carefully cutting the words off the bottom of the mouse stamp and mounting it on the end of the wooden block, this stamp will do duty all through the year!
What a great set "Happy Hearts Day" is to play with! Here are the 3x3 love notes that we made this weekend in My Happy Hearts Day Class!
For more details look below!
Each of these little cards in our class featured different mediums, punches or embelishments. This sweet elephant is dusted with our Chalk Pastels. Two way glue and dazzling diamonds top each of the flower-hearts. The top heart is covered with Crystal Effects as a shiny accent.
The next little card (demo card not completed) is coloured with our watercolour pencils and blended with Blender pens. The Spiral punch accents the front left-hand side. A tiny piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon is stapled to the Pretty in Pink cardstock as a wee accent.
This wee mouse is coloured using our stampin'Write Markers. The mouse is actually Sahara Sand from the neutrals package and the heart is Pretty in Pink and Real Red. A small square of Designer Paper is the background. The Butterfly image in the front card is stamped in black on Pretty in Pink then punched out with the Scalloped Punch. The wings were coloured with marker in Real Red and using two way glue coated with Dazzling Diamonds!
The White card front was punched with the Rounded Tap Punch. We punched it once in one direction and then rotated it 90 degrees and punched it again forming a perfect circle just large enough form a hole to let the Real Red and pink scallop peek through from inside the card. This card was finished off with a Real Red Ribbon tied in a knot.
The Popped up heart is stamped on Pink with Rose Red then punced out using a 1/4" hole punch and attached to a Build-A-Brad. This is mounted on Whisper White punched using the 1" punch. The final Pretty in Pink circle is punched using the 1 1/4 " circle punch and mounted on the Rose Red cardstock with a Pop Dot. So easy and effective! The little message... love you.... is first stamped on the Rose Red in Black. (Butterfly stamp mostly covered by the popped up image!)
Finally, the ladies made decided to make one of these cute little 2-4-6-8 boxes! Each sheet of 8 1/2 " x 11" cardstock will make two boxes. Everyone had plans for using their boxes in a different way this Valentines Day. Three teachers will use if to put treats in for each of their students. Lucky kids eh? They can also be used for table place settings or for hostess gifts.
This little purse used the final stamp from " Happy Hearts Day" and was my thank you to the ladies for coming. All stamps on these projects are included in the "Happy Hearts Day" Set except the tiny heart on the Build-A-Brad which is from "Little Pieces".
I hope you get some inspiration for your own Valentine Projects from this class!
