For those of you who wish you were scrapping a lot more, here's a challenge that might just get you going. Take a 6x6" scrap page and use it as a starting point for a 12 x12" or 8-1/2x11" page. This little exercise kick starts my creative juices when I'm stuck.
Below you'll find a series of 6x6" pages just perfect for a mother's day gift or for a travel scrapbook. I love the 6x6" scrapbook size for books that tell a story from beginning to end. (School year scrapbook, wedding gift scrapbook, A Year in the Life of ..., The story of Grandma, Trip scrapbook etc.)
Now...for your challenge: I suggest you take one of the little pages below, created by my demonstrator friends, as a starting point for a 12x12 page. Don't know what this might look like or how to proceed? Just check my last post where you can see an example. http://www.stamperspad.com/home/2010/04/butterfly-inspiration.html Once you have a completed sample just email me a photo and I'll post it in May which is scrapbook month and you can inspire the rest of us!
Created by: JOSEE SMUCK. (So much to love about this page. The spring colours, punched flower - wrinkled and sponged with tempting turquoise ink and the top note die photo mount. It may not show in this photo but the whole page was crimped before we began putting it together!)
Created by: Sorry I didn't record your name. If you designed this page please contact me so I can give proper credit. After seeing this page I have to find a way to earn that "Card Games" stamp set. I love it!
Created by: MAGGIE PATTERSON (This page is so vibrant and warm in RL! Love the sparkle provided by the crystal brad in the punched out flower. Just a great combination of colours: Craft, Black, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry and white. Stamp set is a sneak peek from our upcoming Summer Mini. )
Created by: JEANNIE NIKOLIC (Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and the Scallop Edge punch creates the touch that just complements the "Tea Party" and "So Saffron" Designer series papers.)
Created by: ANNIE PHAM I love the little journalling pull-out on this very pretty page. The beautiful colour combination was inspired by the "Shades of Spring" Designer Series paper from our current Mini. (pg 25)
Created by: SUZANNE EASTON (Just love the ghosting effect created with craft white stamped over the So Saffron ink.)
Created by: Sorry I'm not sure who to give credit to. Please contact me if this is your page. Such a pretty layout with versa mark stamping on the chocolate chip. I love how the ribbon goes through the scallop edge! Stamp set- Vintage Vogue.
Created by: NICOLE CARPINI Pale Plum and Bashful Blue cardstock are just so soft and beautiful together. I can just see a photo of Mother and newborn on this page! The title was stamped in Lovely Lilac classic ink and the tiny heart was punched using our new "small heart" punch from the current mini.
Ok scrappers, grab your supplies and get started creating your 12 x 12 or 8-1/2 x 11" pages.
Not a scrapper? Then try making a card based on one of these pages. I'll be posting my card inspired by Suzanne's page on Tuesday. Drop back and check it out. And - don't forget to snap a shot of your page or send me a link to your page and I'll share in May.
Have a great day making memories or scrapping them.
