Riverton Tour ... Stampin' Up! Home Office

On Friday night many demonstrators at Convention found that they actually had a wee bit of time available to perhaps go on a tour of Stampin' Up!'s Riverton Head Offices.  I found myself in a long line of demonstrators who had not prebooked this tour.  As it looked like we would never get a seat on stand-by the ladies behind me began to make an alternate plan.  One would find out how to get there and the other would drive.  Lucky for me and for five other ladies we had become "line-friends" and managed to be treated to a personal trip. 

Here we are at Riverton and the sweet lady in Groovy Guava was our volunteer driver.  Unfortunately my memory is not what it should be and she didn't have a business card so I can't tell you her name.  If she contacts me we have a swap to complete. THANK YOU SO MUCH for a wonderful evening!

You may recognize some of these settings from your mini catalogues, brochures or our current catalogue!  The following rooms all make liberal use of Decor Elements and may give you an idea of how to use these home products.

The following are some pictures of the area of the office where your orders are sorted, packed and sent out to you!  I was impressed with how this was so automated! 

No wonder our orders have very few errors and arrive so quickly. 

There were so many wonderful areas in this beautiful building  but finally my camera ran out of steam and I didn't even get an outside shot.  Hope you enjoyed the tour.

Ribbons, Punches and More...

I realize that when I posted the Ikea stamping station the other night, I missed two very important photographs.  One shows a bit more about how I would like my husband to help me display my ribbons (Ikea and Stampin' Up! Style)... hehehe!  I'm baaack honey!  And the other shot shows a CLOSE up of the Ikea punch display rod.  I love mine and can't wait until these are on my wall! 

Inside the cupboard you place your Stampin' Up! Ribbon holder and then, pull the ribbon through the holes in the side of your cupboard.  (The holes your hubby or you drill)  See the picture below for how this could look.

Love, love, love this set up!  Don't you?  Check out the designer paper on the storage cups...too cute...and notice that Chocolate Chip wide stitched ribbon.  I can think of so many things to do with this.

Hmm....  This is a much better shot of that punch rod, isn't it? 

Display this magnetic board on the inside of your stamping cupboard door.  Isn't it a simple way to create your own wish list?  Don't forget to read this one for some hints about new SU products!

I took more than 1000 pictures at Convention.  If I make these into a slide show I'll feel like I'm back there!!!  I won't do that but I will continue to share some of my adventure while we wait for the new catalogue.  You won't believe all the new directions Stampin' Up! is taking this, their 20th year!

Designer Decor from Convention

Wouldn't you just love an office like this one displayed in the Meeing Place at Stampin' Up!'s convention?  You can personalize and coordinate your own space in a similar way by using our Decor Elements and Designer Papers too.  I can't wait to get my hands on these new goodies!

Wonderful Projects from Convention

Just check out these cute earrings and matching bracelet modelled and crafted by my good friend Trina St. Michael!  Aren't they amazing!  Really, Trina is pretty amazing, not only did she make these from our build-a-brads she gave all her friends at convention a pair! How lucky are we!

Brandie Mckenzie created this amazingly cute magnetic calendar!  Can you tell what it's made from?  Look closely and I think you'll recognize a kitchen item.

Fusion Flowers bedeck this Convention gal's tote bag.  I wonder if the New Catty will give us more of a selection of flowers.....

Don't you just love these one-of-a-kind runners?  These were on one of the many 3-D display shelves at convention.  I'm sorry that I don't know who created them as no artist was identified.  Gotta try this one!

Convention Fun and Friends

I made so many wonderful new friends at the Stampin' Up! Convention this past week.  (Read below to find out about two of them and to see a great tutorial.) Friday, after swapping out all my cards, I zipped around our lunch area photographing many demonstrator display boards and exciting vignettes to share with you.   

This room was set up as a display in our lunch area.  Note the great use of our Decor Elements!

How cool is it to use a shutter as a magazine rack!   This one holds our mini catalogues.  Notice anything else special about it?

NEW FRIENDS

Half our days at Convention were set aside for professional development.  We learned to invest wisely in our business, about new stamping techniques and heard about a wonderful variety of approaches to presenting workshops.  Demonstrators shared their strategies, projects and ideas...and were amazingly generous in so many ways!!! What a great team we have at Stampin' Up! 

Below are several examples of demonstrators who give so willingly of themselves.  Remembering them brings a smile to my face and makes me proud to be a member of such a terrific group. 

Between Workshops Karla Fleetwood overheard Trina speaking of her continued discomfort even after receiving a deep tissue massage.  She kindly offered to help Trina with releaving of her pain.  All the while she was helping Trina with exercises and breathing she quietly and calmly guided her to relax and gave suggestions for the evening ahead.  Everyone around her learned something that afternoon.  What a sweet treat!  I highly recommend Karla if you live in or around Yakima, WA.  She can be reached at houseoffleetwood@msn.com if you would enjoy an amazing massage and or want relief from pain!   

With her swaps displayed all over a table at noon hour, I asked Cindy Landecker, pictured above, if I could snap a picture of her cards.  She agreed and when I admired a pretty Bell she immediately gave me one and then proceeded to show me how to make it.   After, I suggested that I tape her spontanious demonstration for you to see.  She laughed and got right to it.  (No joke, off the cuff!)  Obviously Cindy is a terrific demonstrator and I think her customers are very lucky!

I hope you enjoy this Germal Bell project as much as I did!  Forgive the noise and confusion as there was so much going on all around us.

More news from convention tomorrow!  New products, new stamp information and some sneak peeks.  I just can't wait until August 12th! 

Stampin Station

I just love all the displays that Stampin' Up has arranged throughout the convention center!   I thought you might be interested in taking a look at this "to-die-for" Stamping Station.  If you need an organized area for stamping (and let's face it, who doesn't) this is a terrific set up!  Check it out and you may notice some of our new products too!

Hmm.. I have the same system for holding my punches at home but I don't seem to have those punches in my collection yet.  Check out that ribbon organizing system.  Ok, I know what I'm asking my husband to do when I get home!

 

When you fold your table down make sure the designer buttons are all put away!

Who would have thought of covering a metal sheet with Designer paper to make a magnetic board!  Too cute eh?

Love the way our stamp sets fit in these rolling drawers!   

I think these Decore Elements look terrific on this Ikea Stamping Station!!!  And if you like this you will LOVE the surprises that Stampin' Up! has for home Decore in the near future.  (Not in this catalogue but to be announced in the fall!!!) I can hardly wait to get my hands on this new product!

I would just die for this set up!  Wouldn't you?   I own a lot of Ikea furniture and really think it suits organizing our stamps and products but if you have a small space this setup is perfect!

I received some feedback that inquiring minds want to know what Memento Mall is!  I'm so sorry that I didn't explain this clearly in my last post.  Demonstrators that attend our Stampin' Up covention not only get workshops and freebies and the first look at the new catalogue, they also get an opportunity to purchase product that is Stampin' Up related.  This year there was a beautiful fitted blouse in striped green and blue, a knitted hoodie, keychains, lipgloss, CD's etc.  Some of these products are only available at the convention and some are able to be purchased by demonstrators all year after convention.  All of them have our logo on them and all of us crazy demonstrators want them. Thus the wonderful Ikea display was one of the many we viewed while lined up to get into Memento Mall.  Pretty neat acutally!

Must go for now but will keep posting from the Convention as much as time permits.  Let me know if there are specific questions about the convention that you might have and I will do what I can to get the answers for you. 

Memento Mall

Ok,  I'm tired but I had to snap a shot of a couple of items from Memento Mall.  Some demonstrators might be curious about this years' treats!  So... if that be you, take a peek at these cute items.

Convention Notes... You know you want to see this

Wow!  I'm really pumped here at Convention!  I've met so many amazing stampers, swapped cards, shopped at Memento Mall (Great Stampin' Up! products!)  We even had time to tour some shopping malls in Salt Lake City!  My feet are really looking for an ice pack tonight!

Tomorrow there will be speakers and workshops and more swapping.  But, you've got to see what we received from Stampin' Up!  as gifts!!!  The New Catalogue, Three Stamp sets, and this amazing bag!!!
