Designer Paper Play

I've been having such fun getting organized for the new school year... just around the corner... yikes!  Perhaps inspired by Stampin' Up's office supplies, "Thoroughly Modern Designer File Folders" page 117 of the new catalogue, I used our "Tall Tales" designer paper for my neice's school papers.  I think it's just the cutest, but....

 

...check what I did with my hoarded (and retired) Raspberry Tart designer paper below.

 

These file folders and clip board are for my Stampin' Up! office.  Dreamy and useful.  Already they hold creative inspiration and business papers. 

Now I'm so glad that I held onto that lovely paper and can live with it in my office all year.  Take the plunge, pull out your hoarded papers and try this yourself.  You know you'll like it.

Designer Sneak Peeks

Two sneak peeks today:

First,  a peek at a card we'll be making in my FRESH CUTS class on July 3rd.  This one is made using our chalks and a technique called Poppin' Pastels.  Though the colours are muted, this card is just beautiful "in person".   If you want to take advantage of our special on this stamp set and note cards be sure to contact me before the end of this month to place your order.

From Brides to Babies

After spending last week focused on brides, today I'm featuring some cards and stamping decorations all about babies. 

Thanks to a wonderful stamper, and good friend, Raegan, I'm sharing her baby shower "thank you" card and more delicious than that, her new baby girl's room.

What a cute thank you card made with the 'Wild About You" stamp set.   I love this green and pink combination. It's bright and feminine at the same time.

Here's a wide angle shot of Claire's room where you can see butterflies stamped along all her walls.  Hey!  I just made the green and pink connection!  Could this be Certain Celery Raegan?

These two photos give a closer look at the pink butterflies, but I don't think the green wall colour is showing true to life.

   

Don't you just love that Raegan applied butterflies to Claire's name?  Nice touch Raegan! 

If you want to decorate your walls with stamps be sure to use a washable paint and a stamp set that is recommended for this.  Some stamps are cut with very fine details and these will hold the paint in them.  Raegan used the "Bold Butterfly" two-step stamp set that is now retired.   In the current Stampin' Up! catalogue the following stamp sets are recommended for customizing home decor.  (decorating walls, curtains, lampshades etc.)  If you want to see what they look like just click on them.
