Friday's Featured Stamp Set: Under the Stars

When flipping though our Idea book and Catalogue you can't help but notice this grrrreat set, "under the Stars" (page 89, #111556, $39.95).  Since our family camps every summer (except this past one) I added it to my wish list as soon as I saw it.  Imagine my excitement when my good friend Cynthia McKellar loaned it to me the other day!  I've had a couple of days or of stamp heaven...under the stars.  I hope these cards get your creative juices flowing.

All of my cards were inspired by other creative people noted below each sample.

What a terrific invitation to a backyard birthday camp-over!  I wish I had for my kids who always planned summer camp outs with friends on our front yard.  Inspired by Sarah Wilis.

This dressed up fellow could be on a party invitation or a card for an out of town grandchild.  (It's headed on the road to our Chase.)  Inspired by a tent toper card produced by Debbie Robinson1.

A birthday card for the man in your life.  It just makes me giggle!

Finally, this card was one my stampers club made this past week.  Inside it says... The Big Shot & Everything Nice

Everything Nice is a Greeting set that you might overlook when skimming the catalogue but, because we can use markers to select what we want to stamp, it's very versatile.  In the cards below, feature the four stamps in this little set and, of course, the Big Shot. 

 

What would I do without my Big Shot?  I love layering texture upon texture.  With only a greeting, some designer paper, punches and the Big Shot this is an eye-capturing card, if I do say so myself.

What a pretty box you can create with the Top Note die.  A simple box made from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" Rose Red cardstock has Top Note Die lid and bottom made of Chipboard and Designer paper.  Easy and pretty.  All projects above were designed by Caroline Labell for the Stampin' Palooza at the beginning of this month.  Yes, I tweeked a few of these projects but the whole Palooza was her's.   

So much can be done with a simple greeting set (Everything Nice page 145) and the Big Shot (page194)!  Yup, my hubby is not the only Big Shot in my home now but he doesn't seem to mind it at all.  In fact, he bought me the Big Shot for my Birthday present!  (xox) Speaking of which, it's not too soon to let your hubby know what's on your Christmas list.  You can never start "hinting" too soon. (wink-wink)
