Chrstmas gift car holders, party treats, birthday cards, thanksgiving table markers, and wedding favours are just a few things that you can create with the Sweet Centers stamp set featured in the Holiday Mini on pages 6 & 7. This set is so much fun to design a card or treat package with that I'm totally hooked.
My first card is presented without a greeting because I'm going to add it when I know what occasion I'm using it for...maybe birthday or thinking of you... we'll see.
Love the balloon basket idea... could be so uplifting to receive this card. (hehehe) The sky is made using punched scallop circles, cut and taped together as a mask while I sponged with bashful blue on whisper white cardstock. Simple but effective...if I do say so myself.
Created by my friend, Cynthia McKellar, this is not just any birthday card, but one to remember. Cynthia cleverly used the small and large oval punch to create the sunflower petals.
Imagine this fellow on your thanksgiving table. Too cute and simple to make. I got this idea from fellow demonstrator Connie Collins. HIs tail is the petal image frpm the stamp set, and five scalloped circles trimmed with the 1 - 1/4" punch. His body is the center of the scallop oval biz die.
Wouldn't this fellow be sweet at a children's birthday table. Another idea adapted from a Connie, his body is the scallop oval in basic black taped together. I punched a second scallop oval in Yoyo Yellow and cut it in half-inch increments and glued on every second piece. His head was a cut using my circle scissors plus (2 inche diameter cirlce) Wings are punched vellum ovals. Gotta just love him!
This gift card holder is going to my neice who will love buying a book for her birthday later but will enjoy the gummy worms immediately. This idea really speaks to the kid in all of us. Just pull the tag and the gift card will be exposed and undo the ribbon to eat the treats. (I'll try to get a photo of this card opened for you later.) The greeting and images come from "Bugs and Wishes" stamp set. What a fun way to give a gift card.
I hope you have given you an idea of just how much fun the Sweet Centers stamp set is especially when combined with the sweet treat cups! Can't you just imagine so many other ways you could use it? That Christmas tree ornament! Oh My Goodness... what a fun treat to fill and give to your Christmas table guests.
Order on line now by using the button at the Right hand side of my blog. I know you'll enjoy this set but don't wait too long it retires with our Holiday Mini Catalogue on January 4th.
Thinking of joining a stamp club? Come and try it out this Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00. Click Here to email me for more information if you are interested in joining us this week or another time. For only $15.00 or an order of $30.00 you will have a great time learning two new stamping techniques and creating three Christmas cards. There will be a special extra Christmas project this sunday too.
Have a great day and a fabulous weekend!
Linda

I just measured mine and they're almost half an inch deep. I know they're just fine going through the mail in the little padded envelopes available in the Holiday Mini - #116911.
