As sad as it is to see Summer pass by its just so exciting to see the Fall leaves begin to change. It's as if the world is our garden and every day it's so much fun to peek and see the changes. If you read my blog before you know that this is my favourite season. I just pop out of bed, ready to go in the fall. Fall also gives me a chance to try new techiques with my very - most versatile stamp set "Lovely as a Tree". Hope I'm not leafing you yawnin.
Here's a card my stampers club completed last weekend - totally inspired and cased from the very talented Kim Assaly. Painting on acetate with re-inkers and Crystal Effects, sometimes called Stained Glass was a ton of fun. Gotta love it! Every tree looked different and beautiful. This is a no-fail technique.
Sorry we just couldn't get the colours correct in the photos, but the cardstock actually is: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, & Dusty Durrango. Ink: Stazon Black & Soft Suede classic. Re-inkers (mixed 1- 2 drops of ink in a small daub of Crystal effects) Old Olive, Soft Suede, Rose Red & Really Rust. Ribbon Originals from the Holiday Mini pg. 33, Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree & Teeny Tiny Wishes, Curvy Verses (inside).
This card is going to my sweet cousin who just lost her dear Mom this week in a long, long journey to peace. My warm and loving Aunt Lillian will be in my heart forever.
On another note...
You may have noticed that messages to and from our pad are a bit fragmented lately. We've been having one of those annoying modern case of hiccups. I love Ma Bell but I guess our line was faulty cause we've had both phone and Internet interruptions and have actually been off line for a week while the cause was searched down. Apparently we have new lines now and are up and running. Fingers crossed.
Have a wonderful Fall weekend. I'm off to Toronto for a wild weekend of stamping with our Inkcredible team!
taa-taa for now,
Linda
