No one warned me about "Prom Night". I guess my daughter hinted over the past couple of months but I may have been in denial. As we purchased a dress, shoes, jewlery, hand bag and shawl I should have been "picking up" the vibes about how huge a time this is for my daughter and her friends.
On one of our shopping trips I agreed to pay for nails, hair and makeup for this night but still didn't "get it" until I found out that "nails" meant things added to your nails and glued in place. (I would call them fake nails.) Anyway I paid a sum for them that made me finally connect! My daughter tells me that women get "nails" for wedding and graduation. So I'm holding on tight for the cost of today's updo and makeup. My daughter is dancing around primping, excited and in another world. Finally I'm caught up in the mood. I'm aware of a day that will be one full of happy memories for my not-so-little girl. So, I'm just footing the bill and enjoying her excitement.

Kayla and her friends managed to get a neighbour to rent a bus for their transportation to the prom. I think the bus was the beginning of their celebrations.
Oh, yes... cards for the occasion below:
These were inspired by Kayla's PINK dress and quick because our week was crazy-busy and I made quantities for Kayla and her friends.
These were quick because our week had been VERY busy and I made quantities for Kayla and her friends.
Today is Kayla's birthday so I'm a bit behind in postings but promise to catch up this weekend.
Just a reminder that you only have until the end of this month to order from the current catalogue. To take advantage of the "last Chance Products and Stamp Sets" email me at Linda@stamperspad.com or shop on line now by clicking here.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a terrific weekend!

Seeing prom pictures always remind me of what a big deal my own prom was. Celebrating the end of high school and the new chapter of leaving home (both exhilarating and scary)... you were right. Definitely a defining night in our lives.
That picture of your daughter all glamored up and taking the bus cracked me up, though! Somehow it doesn't seem to fit...
I hope she had a fabulous time!
Cindy :)
