When in doubt dress to the 9's! That was my mother's advice and I think you can't go wrong with the Black and White of Tuxedo Cards either. (So named by my sister-in-law, Cynthia.) Last week she shared these recent cards of hers and told me that she was in her Tuxedo card phase.
My most often used stamp set is this one that Cynthia chose for her first card. "Lovely as a Tree" This beautiful embossed card could be used for almost any occasion or even as a note card.
Cynthia is waiting for an occasion before she stamps a greeting on this card, a trick I often use as well. I can just see a white embossed greeting at the bottom of this layout.
I love the three black stripes that make this image really POP out. This very classy card is stamped with an image from one of last year's Sale-A-Bration sets. (The name escapes me right now.)
This final card Cynthia Shared is beautiful in it's simplicity. I love the texture. It justs adds that extra touch.
Now that you have checked out Cynthia's cards. I hope you feel like I do. I'm going to dust off some of my sets and use them in this Classic Black and White mode.
See my attempts tomorrow. Now if you want to take on the tuxedo challenge, please feel free to share your work with me and I'll post it.
Don't forget to let Cynthia know what you think of her Tuxedo Cards by posting a comment below.
